The Avengers 2012 Bluray 1080p 271 Post by Lazaro Having enjoyed the The Avengers movie on Blu-ray I felt like I should give it a review to help out those who need/want to know if this film is worth the purchase. In case you've been living under a rock for the past few years, here's a general rundown on what this movie is about: Captain America, Ironman, Thor, and newcomer newcomer Hulk team up to save Earth from an invasion of extraterrestrial soldiers led by Loki. It's worth noting that both major giants of American cinema were absent from the final cut - Robert Downey Jr. as Ironman and Tom Hiddleston as Loki. I've added the 2D version of the film for this review, but it's worth noting that there are two versions of this Blu-ray disc available - one with the 2D film on it, and another with the 3D version. I'm reviewing the 2D release. The review is spoiler free; we will only look at video and audio quality. The Avengers 2012 Bluray 1080p 271 Post by Lazaro Video: (Check Sample)Codec: Mpeg-4 AVC (27.72 Mbps)Resolution: 1080pAspect ratio: 1. 78:1Original aspect ratio: 1.78:1Audio: (Check Sample)English: DTS-HD Master Audio 7.1 (48kHz, 24-bit)English: Dolby Digital 5.1 EXFrench (Canada): Dolby Digital 5.1 EXPortuguese: Dolby Digital 5.1 EXSpanish: Dolby Digital 5.1 EXSubtitles : English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Korean, Mandarin(Traditional), Thai, Indonesian, Vietnamese - English SDH, Cantonese(Simplified), Korean SDH - English .srt file included in the release. *See screenshots for full subtitles*. The video quality of this film was very good on my Panasonic RP-HS55 and on my new Samsung UN40H5203U 40-Inch 1080p 120Hz LED TV that was hooked up via HDMI to the RP-HS55. I had no problems with black levels as some had fallen on some other blu-rays I reviewed. The color was also very good as it appeared accurate and vibrant as it should be. I didn't see any issues with compression or artifacting during playback. It's worth noting that this is a 2D blu-ray. The 3D version may have some different results. It's still worth mentioning because the video quality here is quite good. The audio quality was also very good with the DTS-HD Master audio 7.1 (48kHz, 24-bit) not to mention it has both Dolby Digital 5.1 EX and DTS 5.1 ES tracks, among others for those of you who like your speakers to all shake at once during action scenes (myself included). cfa1e77820
